Parliament
Parliament is bicameral and is located in Manila.
The House of Representatives has 254 members. 204 members are elected by popular vote. 50 members are selected from lists drawn up by the political parties to ensure representation by women, by ethnic minorities, and by certain other groups. Members serve three-year terms. The Senate has 24 members, who are elcted to six-year terms by popular vote.
