Parliament
Parliament (National Assembly) is bicameral and is located in Belmopan.
The House of Representatives has 28 members, who are elected by popular vote. The Senate has 8 members, who are appointed by the governor-general. 5 are appointed on the advice of the majority party. 2 are appointed on the advice of the minority party. 1 is appointed onthe advice of an advisory council.
