- 1902 – Education Act
- Responsibility for elementary and secondary education was given to the new system of government which had been created in 1888.
- 1904 – Licensing Act
- It provided regulations about the frequency of alcoholic consumption.
- 1906 – Agricultural Holdings Act
- It gave compensation for damage done by game and freedom to determine the choice of crops and the disposal of produce.
- 1906 – Trades Disputes Act
- It exempted trade unions of all types from all actions in tort. No action done by a person in furtherance of a trade dispute to procure a breach of contract was actionable.
- 1908 – Pension Act
- Payment of pensions was to be dependent on a means test and tests of nationality and residence.
- 1909 – Labour Exchange Act
- It provided for the organization of the market for labour.
- 1915 – Munitions of War Act
- The worker remained a civilian under civil law, but his industrial rights were limited. In controlled establishments, where the worker had to surrender some of his industrial rights, the profits of the employer were limited. Lockouts were made crimes. Arbitration was made compulsory.
- 1921 – Safeguarding of Industries Act
- It added an ad valorem 33% import duty on certain products of key industries.
- 1925 – Finance Act
- It levied customs duties on the importation of natural and artificial silks.
- 1927 – Cinematograph Act
- It provided for a statuatory quota of British films.
- 1930 – Coal Mines Act
- A Coal Reorganization Commission was established to promote reorganization by amalgamations.
- 1932 – Import Duties Act
- It gave protection to some home industries, a basis for preference within the empire, and a basis for reciprocal agreements with, or in retaliation against, foreign countries.
- 1932 – Wheat Act
- It provided a guaranteed price for a specific quantity of wheat.
- 1933 – Marketing Act
- It combined internal marketing arrangements with the regulation of imports by quotas.
- 1936 – His Majesty’s Declaration of Abdication Act
- It provided for the exclusion of Edward VIII and his issue from the succession to the throne.
- 1946 – Ministers of the Crown Act
- It allowed for functions to be transferred from one minister to another by Order in Council.
- 1946 – Minister of Defence Act
- This provided for a Minister for Defence to provide a unified policy relating to the armed forces of the Crown.
- 1949 – Parliament Act
- This permitted the Lords to delay a Bill by up to two years and then one year. Italso reduced the maximum lifespan of a Parliament from seven years to five years.
