Vegetarianism: Religious Beliefs

The Seventh Day Adventists have long been recognized as being healthier because they follow a vegetarian regime. Numerous studies have been done within this religious denomination, comparing them with the average American and proving they have lower rates of cancer.

At the other end of the scale is the recent upswing of eastern religions advocating vegetarianism – Buddhists, Hindus, Jainists, and Trappist Monks. These religions have always maintained a vegetarian lifestyle, but now more people are joining these groups because of this particular practice.
