  • cyclophosphamide (cytophosphane) [Endoxan, Cytoxan, Neosar, Procytox, Revimmune]
  • docetaxel [Taxotere]
  • fluorouracil [Adrucil, 5-FU]
  • methotrexate [Folex, Maxtrex, and others] — interferes with folic acid action
  • paclitaxel [Taxol, Onxal]
  • procarbazine [Matulane]
  • trastuzumab [Herceptin] and others
  • tamoxifen [Nolvadex-D, Tamofen, and others]
  • and many more

  • Deplete: A, B1, B2, B6, B12, C, E, choline, folic acid, calcium, magnesium, potassium, selenium, zinc, L-carnitine, L-glutamine, glutathione, melatonin, NAC, EFAs (essential fatty acids)




  • Notes:
    • Ironically, many of these nutrients are needed for reducing chemo side effects.
    • Ginkgo biloba helps protect the kidneys against damage.
    • Black cohosh and dong quai can feed estrogen-dependent tumors.
