Poison Ivy Lotion

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup distilled water
  • 10-12 drops essential oil of Peppermint
  • Green healing clay

Mix all together until creamy. Store in a glass container in the refrigerator. Apply as needed to poison ivy, poison oak, poison sumac, sores or insect bites. This lotions works remarkably quickly and effectively.

Clay is used to draw out toxins and foreign substances, heal burns, and repair damaged tissue. There are many colours of healing clay with a variety of therapeutic values. Generally, light colours, as white or light blue, are delicate and used for dry skin; yellow, green, and lavender are for medium skin types; the darker reds and blacks are for oily skin. For other uses, the light clays are mild in their therapeutic action, while the green is considered the most drawing for toxins.
