Clove Nutmeg

Clove nutmeg, Madagascar (Ravensara aromatica – Family Laurineae) is not related to the true clove, but comes from a tree indigenous to Madagascar whose fruit, leaves, and young bark all have the taste of cloves and considered to be one of the best spices on the island. It is the kernel of the fruit that is used, and is known in the commercial world as the spice “Madagascar clove nutmeg”.
