Blenheim Orange

Blenheim Orange

This is one of the best apples of the Pippin family.

It was first discovered growing out of a wall at Blenhem Palace in England in 1818 and was named by permission of the Duke of Marlborough.

It is large, a dull reddish-greenish-yellowish with crisp flesh and a very tart flavour.

It is a early variety dual purpose apple with a pleasant nutty flavor — and, it also has at least 67 other names.
