Parliament is unicameral and is located in Basseterre.
The Parliament has 11 members, who are elected for five-year terms. 21 members are elected from St. Kitts and 3 members are elected from Nevis, by popular vote. 3 senators are appointed on the advice of the prime minister and the leader of the opposition party.
