Associations
- AARP (American Association of Retired Persons)
- CARP (Canadian Association of Retired Persons) CARP is a non-profit, membership-driven organization. It began in 1984 with ten members but now has more than 400,000. CARP's mandate is to effectively promote the rights and quality of life of mature Canadians. However, the name no longer describes its members who are 50 years or older, retired or not. Although CARP remains, the better description is Canada's Association for the Fifty-Plus.
