Callicrates (5th century)
  • Worked with Ictinus and Pheidias in building the Parthenon

Hermogenes (2nd century)
  • The temple of Dionysus at Teos and the temple of Artemis at Magnesia attributed to him
  • Wrote treatises on these temples

Ictinus (fl. c450-420)
  • Worked with Callicrates and Pheidias in building the Parthenon
  • Worked on the temple of Apollo at Bassae and on the Telesterion at Eleusis

Mnesicles (Late 5th century)
  • Designed the Propylaea on the Acropolis, but not completed to his original plan

Philon (4th century)
  • Designed the naval stores at Piraeus
  • Added a porch to the Telesterion at Eleusis
  • Wrote on archicture

Pytheus (4th century)
  • Designed the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus
  • Designed the temple of Athena Polias at Priene
  • Wrote books on both buildings

Scopas (4th century)
  • Designed the temple of Athena at Tegea
  • Designed the east side of the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus
  • Also a sculptor
